Joint and Crack Treatment: Pre-fill static cracks and small voids with SLABKRETE™ 100 FS prior to system installation. After installation, fill control and construction joints with SLABFLEX® 300, tooled flush with the finished surface.

Cove Base: Where required, form integral cove bases at floor-to-wall transitions using manufacturer-approved urethane cement or resinous cove base materials compatible with SLABKRETE™ 100 FS and the selected topcoat option.

Installation and Application Overview

Surface Preparation: Mechanically prepare concrete substrate per ICRI 310.2R to achieve appropriate CSP for urethane cement systems. Remove dust and debris by vacuuming with HEPA-filtered equipment. Verify that concrete substrates are structurally sound, properly cured and free of curing compounds, sealers, oils, grease and other contaminants that may impair adhesion.

Base Layer Application (SLABKRETE™ 100 FS): Condition materials and substrate to ambient temperatures between 50°F and 90°F. Pre-mix Part B for one minute and Part A for 30 seconds, then combine and mix for one minute. Gradually add Part C aggregate and mix for two to three minutes. Apply immediately with a 3/8-inch cam rake at 1/4-inch nominal thickness. Back-roll with spiked roller to release air. While material is wet, broadcast manufacturer-approved aggregate to full rejection. Coverage is approximately 30 sq ft per kit at 1/4-inch with full broadcast. Allow material to cure six to eight hours at 75°F prior to topcoat application. After cure, remove excess aggregate and prepare the surface to a uniform texture suitable to receive topcoat.

Topcoat Application (SLABKRETE™ UC Topcoat): Apply only after SLABKRETE™ 100 FS has cured sufficiently to accept coating. Pre-mix Part A until homogeneous, add Part B and mix for 30 seconds. Transfer and gradually add Part C while mixing for approximately two minutes. Apply immediately over properly prepared SLABKRETE™ 100 FS using flat or 1/8-inch V-notched squeegee. Back-roll with non-shedding roller. Coverage is 150 sq ft per kit at eight mils for neat or seal coat applications, or 75 to 95 sq ft per kit for aggregate seal over pigmented broadcast. Allow minimum eight hours cure before light foot traffic. Do not apply below 50°F or above 80% relative humidity.

Topcoat Application (FASTFLO™ 80X): For pigmented applications, add SLABHARD® Polyaspartic Color Pack to Part A and mix until color is fully dispersed prior to combining with Part B. Pre-mix Parts A and B separately, then combine and mix mechanically until uniform. Apply using squeegee and backroll method with 3/8-inch solvent-resistant roller. Coverage is 125 to 150 sq ft per gallon at 10 to 12 mils WFT. Allow foot traffic after six to eight hours at 75°F. Do not apply below 60°F or when relative humidity exceeds 85%.

Topcoat Application (EASYFLO™ 88 VOC): For pigmented applications, add SLABHARD® Polyaspartic Color Pack to Part A and mix until color is fully dispersed prior to combining with Part B. Mix Part A and Part B thoroughly until uniform before application. Apply immediately to prepared substrate using squeegee or roller. Coverage is 125 to 150 sq ft per gallon at 10 to 12 mils WFT. Back-roll with non-shedding roller for uniform film thickness. Allow foot traffic after 24 to 48 hours at 75°F. Do not apply below 60°F or when relative humidity exceeds 85%.

Environmental Conditions: Maintain ambient and substrate temperature between 45°F and 90°F during installation and cure, unless otherwise permitted by manufacturer’s data sheets. Maintain relative humidity below 85% during application and comply with manufacturer dew point requirements.

Protection and Cure: Protect installed flooring from dust, moisture, construction debris and traffic during cure. Do not permit foot traffic for a minimum of 12 to 24 hours after installation of SLABKRETE™ 100 FS at 75°F, 24 hours after installation of SLABKRETE™ UC Topcoat at 75°F, 24 hours after installation of FASTFLO™ 80X at 75°F, or 48 hours after installation of EASYFLO™ 88 VOC at 75°F. Do not permit washdown, chemical exposure or service use until coatings have achieved full cure. Prevent point loads, wheeled traffic or impact loading until the system is fully cured.

Maintenance: Regular cleaning using a neutral pH detergent and non-abrasive cleaning equipment is recommended to maintain surface appearance and performance. Spills from chemicals, oils, fuels, cleaning agents and other contaminants should be removed promptly to prevent prolonged surface exposure. Inspect the floor periodically for localized wear, impact damage or mechanical abrasion. Repair damaged or worn areas promptly using manufacturer-approved materials to preserve chemical resistance, slip performance and overall system integrity.
